(Note to everyone non-German-speaking: there’s a translation link in the right sidebar. It usually brings out a lot of crap but maybe it can give you a little insight on what I’m talking about in my blog post ;) Btw: Halloween is no official Holiday in Germany, it just became trendy in the late 90s)
Listening to Avril Lavigne’s new songs and getting what I expected: pop music that sounds like from a 17-year-old girl. Love songs, soft radio pop-rock, a trendy dubstep(!!) tune and definitely no real “rock’n’roll”. There are even songs where she seems trying to sound like Lana Del Rey and Miley Cyrus (in her Disney days). She’s been a famous singer for about 11 years now and copies other singers?? I hope my assumtion is wrong…
We’re at the same age but I feel too old for being a fan of her new music. I’ve grown up. ;)
There comes a point when you either embrace who and what you are, or condemn yourself to be miserable all your days. Other people will try to make you miserable; don’t help them by doing the job yourself.
Please let yourself be proud of small things. Please do that. Please allow yourself to get really excited about playing a video game well or sending an ask you were nervous about or letting a bug outside or peeling the whole orange in one try. Please get so excited about that. Please. That’s so cool I’m so glad you did it.
And then I debated whether or not to put it on Tumblr…but I decided it was important. Because in my own way, I can (unfortunately) point out exactly what is wrong with men when they don’t realize how hard it is to be a woman. How we do not have equal opportunities and freedoms in everyday life….
READ THIS. It is SO good. I feel so sorry for this woman. So many men out there feel self-entitled over a pretty woman that it’s a bit sickening. Just read.
Wow…I’m shocked this happens in a “modern” country. Sometimes I think the whole women emancipation thing is nothing but a lie…
